Tapping Into Gentleness: Learn To Be Gentle With Yourself

"Be gentle with yourself, you're doing the best you can."

As a society we are taught to forge ahead, press on, go go go, and be relentless. And while I do believe there are times we need to push ourselves, more often, there are times we need to be gentle, kind, and to listen to both our body and our intuition. But how do we discern the difference? How do we differentiate between resistance and what is truly a message to slow down? In my experience, it comes down to practice. It's all about cultivating a relationship between the mind and the body. Its about recognizing the ego, acknowledging and feeling into emotions as they arise, and pausing to really tune in and attain guidance from our higher-self. If you feel like you've been spinning your wheels, that's a good indicator you need to hit the pause button. When we take time to reflect, we can begin to look at things differently. When we look at things differently, we feel differently. And when we feel differently, we take different action. That different action is going to create a different result.
