EFT
EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE / TAPPING
WHAT IS EFT?
EFT or the Emotional Freedom Technique, also referred to as tapping, is a technique which utilizes the body’s energy meridian points. You stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them lightly with your fingertips – literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

These points include: the top of the head, eyebrows, side of the eyes, under the eyes, the chin, the collar bone, as well as under the arms. Stimulating these points while focusing on the negative emotion that you are feeling, ultimately enables you to release the negative and increase the positive energy flow.
HOW IT WORKS
“All negative emotions are felt through a disruption of the body’s energy. And physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions. Health problems create feedback – physical symptoms cause emotional distress, and unresolved emotional problems manifest themselves through physical symptoms. So, the body’s health must be approached as a whole. You cannot treat the symptoms without addressing the cause, and vice-versa. The body, like everything in the universe, is composed of energy. Restore balance to the body’s energy, and you will mend the negative emotions and physical symptoms that stem from the energy disruption. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, and negative emotions are conquered.”

WHAT TO EXPECT
One-on-one EFT sessions are scheduled for an hour time slot. These sessions can be held in person or over video chat.

During your session I'll show you all of the points that we will be tapping on. We'll talk about what's going on in your life and the issue that is causing you distress - this could be physically, emotionally, or both.
Through out the session we will evaluate the level of your emotions/ anxiety/ distress by using a scale of 0 to 10, where 10 is highly stressful and 0 represents no stress. This allows us to monitor your progress through out the session.
EFT is a process of following the breadcrumbs. When we explore feelings around one event or experience,it often leads to another and another. During the session, we'll address each memory and any associated emotions that come up.
This process of speaking aloud how your feeling, while simultaneously tapping sends a message to the amygdala in the brain letting your body know it's not in fight or flight mode. This calms the body and can often bring clarity, cognitive shifts, and changes in beliefs.
